INTRODUCTION

In the search for authentic experiences and sustainable living, "Circular is the New Wellness" redefines the relationship between people, nature, and well-being. This concept integrates the principles of a circular economy with holistic wellness, emphasizing sustainability, resource efficiency, and mindful living. The journey "From Ocean to Table", situated in the coastal villages of Central Vietnam, exemplifies this approach by merging traditional fishing practices, circular kitchen systems, and community involvement into a transformative travel experience.

The Wellness of Circular Living

Wellness today transcends traditional notions of relaxation and self-care, encompassing a deeper connection to the environment and community. Circular living amplifies this by promoting a harmonious balance between consumption and regeneration. The principles of circularity—reducing waste, reusing resources, and restoring ecosystems—align seamlessly with wellness goals of sustainability, health, and mindfulness.

In the "From Ocean to Table" journey, circularity manifests in every step:

  • Sustainable Sourcing: Seasonal and responsible fishing ensures the preservation of marine biodiversity.

  • Efficient Kitchens: Culinary practices maximize the use of ingredients while minimizing waste.

  • Waste to Wealth: Organic waste is repurposed into compost, supporting local ecosystems.

This approach not only benefits the environment but also provides participants with an immersive understanding of how living in balance fosters physical and emotional well-being.

Experience Highlights

1. From Ocean to Table
Participants join local fishermen at dawn or explore vibrant coastal fish markets like Tam Tiến. The journey offers an intimate look into the daily rhythms of coastal life, highlighting traditional, sustainable fishing methods. The catch of the day is celebrated as a symbol of the ocean’s bounty and a reminder of its fragility.

2. Circular Kitchen Practices
Guests engage in preparing dishes using freshly caught seafood, guided by local cooks and chefs. The experience focuses on:

  • Zero Waste Cooking: Using every part of the seafood, from bones to shells, to create rich broths or natural fertilizers.

  • Natural Materials: Substituting single-use plastics with reusable or biodegradable items like bamboo and banana leaves.

  • Sustainable Water Use: Adopting eco-friendly cleaning practices to reduce water wastage.

3. Community and Circular Living

  • Workshops on creating value from marine by-products, such as crafting souvenirs from discarded fishing nets or using shells for home decor.

  • Biogas and composting demonstrations using organic kitchen waste, showcasing the closed-loop model of resource management.

  • Community dinners where stories of resilience, environmental stewardship, and cultural pride are shared.

4. Environmental Wellness
