Guideline to Circularity
This guideline is the preliminary result of our project, which was selected as one of the 60 winners of the ASEAN Blue Innovation Challenge 2024, funded by UNDP and the Japanese Government. The project pilots a circular homestay model, introducing the concept of "Circular is Wellness" in tourism. It emphasizes the importance of regenerative tourism as an integral part of the experience for both tourists and operators.

From the perspective of local tourism operators, circularity helps reduce the overuse of resources during peak seasons and regenerates and minimizes costs during low seasons—not only benefiting individual operators but also supporting the entire community.

In the first version of the guideline, "circularity" refers to the secondary use of wastewater in a compostable pit to fertilize deserted land in the area.

The concept continues to be built up with the project "Preserving Rice Culture through Water Management in Tourism Sector in Pu Luong", awarded Youth4Climate Initiative, funded by UNDP and the Italian's Ministry of Environment and Energy Security.
